The Frame is the Strength of the Design Once you have the opportunity to try one of the ChurchPlaza Sanctuary Chair CollectionTM, you'll know these chairs are built to last. When you first sit down, you'll immediately feel these frames were designed to support you forever. As you examine the construction of the frame and see the quality of the workmanship, you'll understand why we extend a twenty-five year frame warranty.
We're confident these chairs will outlast any other chairs available to your church!
Heavy Duty Steel
ChurchPlaza frames are designed to be trouble free and are produced to exacting standards. We start with QUALITY STEEL that is precision welded, heavy duty, 16 gauge, 1 inch square tubing in the base and ¾" in the back supports. Using high tensile strength 1010 carbon steel made to the industries highest standards insures the frame will support over 1700 pounds. The 16 gauge tubing exceeds the strength of the standard 18 gauge tubing used by most other manufacturers (The smaller the gauge number the thicker the tubing walls). The walls of our 16 gauge tubing are over 30% thicker and about twice as strong as the popular18 gauge frame tubing.
Mandrel Tube Bending
The ChurchPlaza Standard is to build the strongest chairs possible! We use mandrel bending for the steel used in our chair frames. In that way, the excess material from the bend is channeled to the inside of the curve to provide a smooth, even, and strong bend. There is no crushing to compromise the integrity of the steel, thus insuring your church of a quality chair that will support you for a lifetime.
Quality in design
Mandrel bending is only part of the story. The design of the frame is what is really noteworthy. We actually use four frame designs for ChurchPlaza Sanctuary Seating chairs to provide your church with a wide variety of designs while insuring the strength and durability of each specific model. All Sanctuary Seating frames have tubular cross bracing between the legs and not simply welded rods. This provides the ultimate support and strength and contributes to the ability of the frame to support 1700 pounds or more.
Trustworthy Stackable Seating WarrantyTM
ChurchPlaza chairs are backed by the most comprehensive Warranty in the industry. A Lifetime Trustworthy Steel Frame Warranty" against failures, 25 Year Workmanship Warranty against faulty workmanship, 25 Year Structural Seat and Back Warranty against failure or breakage, 10 Year Foam Warranty (Foam suppliers Maximum) against premature breakdown, and a minimum 10 year Upholstery Warranty against excessive wear. We can offer these, the industries most complete warranty because we design and engineer our chairs to be the most durable and lasting seating solutions available.
Frame and Fabric Standards
ChurchPlaza chairs are built to exceed the rigorous standards set of the Business and Furniture Manufactures Association (BIFMA). Our fabrics are subject to the Wyzenbeek Abrasion Resistance test assuring the ability of the fabric to withstand years of use without showing signs of wear. You can feel confident that your chairs are going to continue to look good, even after rigorous use in the church.
Frame Finish
Scratch Resistance is the benefit of our 5-Step Electrostatic painting process. Know as "Powder Coating", the paint in powder form actually bonds to the metal for a superior finish. This is the same process used in automotive finishing. It resist scratching, chipping and peeling so your chairs will retain their "like new" look over many years of hard usage.
"Comfortplus" Construction
You'll enjoy sitting in the pure luxurious comfort of a ChurchPlaza Sanctuary Seat knowing the quality is unsurpassed. Our quality virgin foam is DUAL DENSITY and is standard on all of our Sanctuary Seating Collection. There is no additional charge for this feature and unlike other church and sanctuary seating manufacturers, CHURCHPLAZA NEVER CHARGES A FOAM UPCHARGE. That's what "comfortplus" construction is ... comfort PLUS quality and durability you can expect and trust to be built into every ChurchPlaza chair without additional fees.
Comfort Tailored In
The upholstered seat cover on the ChurchPlaza Sanctuary Seating Collection is a unique feature. The fully sewn tailored seat covers have crisp lines that give an impressive look of elegance. When compared to other pew style chairs this tailored look is distinctive and impressive. Several models feature the waterfall or rolled front edge on the seat cushion. This allows for good circulation and comfort by supporting the leg at the back of the knee. You'll be able to relax and enjoy the service, no matter how lengthy.
Two Are Better Than One
The quality engineered dual density foam construction has re-vitalized seating comfort and added to the life expectancy of the 3 ½"foam seat. The top layer of 1 ½" of high density 32 lb ILD virgin polyurethane foam provides the luxurious plush comfort. The base layer of 2" of durable 36 lb ILD foam provides durability and support, preventing bottoming out on the plywood seat foundation. In our 3 Contoured back Comfort Chairs we have selected 4" of dual layer foam, 2" of softer 32 lb. IFD on top of 2" of 36 lb. IFD base foam. Comfort beyond expectation!!
Better Built with 1/2" Plywood Base
The chair's foundation is a key to providing the ultimate in support and durability for the life of the chair. ChurchPlaza's quality plywood is resistant to cracking and unwanted flexing found in thinner less expensive plastics or particle board. Seats and backs are attached using T-Nuts to insure a positive secure anchor to the frame. Using T-Nuts, which provide positive metal to metal contact, prevents screws from working loose and pulling out of plastic or particleboard seat bases. For the ultimate in comfort choose our exclusive Covenant chair which has the unique feature of a web seat base, at no extra charge. The plywood base is cut out in the center, like a picture frame, then a combination of polypropylene and rubber webbing material is inserted. This flexible woven stretchable material provides exceptional comfort for those extended seating situations.
Lumbar Back Support System
The ChurchPlaza collection of sanctuary chairs is available in two back designs. These back designs feature ChurchPlaza's exclusive dual density foam. The Back Support System which is designed to provide the optimum comfort for the upper back area, additional support for the lumbar area and superior lower back positions. Lumbar support is standard on all ChurchPlaza sanctuary chairs; this is accomplished by inserting extra foam in the lumbar area. To enhance the comfort many churches are selecting the dual lumbar support option. Additionally, the lower section of the back foam is cut-away proving extra gentle pressure on the lumbar area of the back while giving additional seat room.
Contour Seating comfort "Theater seat comfort in a stack chair"
ChurchPlaza's unique contoured back, available in three models, provides gentle support for the natural curve of your back. This gentle caress results in the greatest level of comfort for you. Comfort without compromise. Instead of shaping with foam that will wear away, ChurchPlaza's Contour Seating is based upon quality, shaped plywood back to give you years and years of individual comfort. In our 3 Contoured back Comfort Chairs we have selected 4" of dual layer foam, 2" of softer 32 lb. IFD on top of 2" of 36 lb. IFD base foam. Comfort beyond expectation!!
Fabric durability, testing and quality control
ChurchPlaza sanctuary chairs are upholstered with fabrics from only the highest grade mills. These mills are selected to produce fabrics for the finest quality manufactures of furniture and the automotive industry. Their quality control is at the highest in the fabric industry and the most stringent available.
The fabric we recommend as our standard exceeds the standard surface abrasion tests known as the Wyzenbeek test. Heavy duty is rated at 15,000 double rubs; our choice can exceed 250,000 double rubs. The Break Strength test (ASTM-D-1682) normal is 50 lbs ours tests to 276 lbs. and the tear resistance is almost 50 lbs, when the standard is 6 lbs (ASTM-D-2262). This fabric is going to wear and wear for many years.
Colorfastness to light is also at the highest rating, meaning fading or discoloration is not a worry. Expansion in the future with additional chairs will continue to match the original in color and good looks.
